Intake
Our Intake Unit reviews your initial inquiry, determines if it meets basic criteria, and helps you complete and file your complaint.

Investigation
MCC is responsible for impartially gathering information about complaints of discrimination to determine whether discrimination likely happened.

The investigative process
The Complainant and Respondent have rights and responsibilities over the course of our investigation to share all relevant information.

Conclusion of investigation
Once an investigation is completed, MCCR issues a written finding of Probable Cause of discrimination or No Probable Cause.

Relief for complainants
MCCR may pursue various forms of relief for complainants where there is a finding of probable cause and/or the parties seek an administrative solution.
